"Mableton Crimson China" (Cramoisi Supérieur?, "Wingood China", Agrippina?). China. Best fragrance. Fair rebloom. Mass of wood often wider than tall. (Provenance: Matson). Small, globular lacquer-red flowers pale on the reverse with a dwarf habit, rarely over 2' tall. Perhaps only a slight variation on CRAMOISI SUPÉRIEUR, or perhaps another, very similar cultivar whose name is lost. Sold to us as AGRIPPINA, and identical to the Bermuda rose known as "WINGOOD CHINA".

"Beryl", HT. Good, reliable rebloom. Good fragrance. ..unknown..Nearly single flowers of pale yellow with amber stamens...may have been labeled as the Tea rose from Dickson, 1898, which was also yellow but double. More likely it is an early 20th century cultivar, probably a Pernetiana.

Description. Notes that the identification of the rose in commerce in the USA as 'Gem Of The Prairies,' is in questions, as it appears identical to the rose distributed as 'Geshwind's Orden.'

‘Bishop Darlington’ HM Good reliable rebloom. Outstanding fragrance. Habit: 2. Thomas, Dreer, 1926. [provenance: Matson]. Semi-double flowers of soft peachy-pink with a yellow glow. An upright shrub, rather like a tall Floribunda, to 6’. Delicious scent.

Polyanthas.  Blue Mist Pol. (Min) Good reliable rebloom. Outstanding fragrance.  Habit diagram 2, [e.g. The Fairy and Marie Pavie]  Moore, 1970.  [Provenance Korbel] Lilac to lilac-pink pompons in large clusters of tiny flowers; they are fragrant, and the plant very compact.  Not at all in the Rouletti mould, but more like a miniature polyantha, so we have moved it from the Miniatures.  As Ralph Moore said, "If it looks like a Mini, it is a Mini."  This doesn't and isn't.  A graceful, spreading small shrub.  Exquisite color.

Damasks.  Botzaris  no rebloom, outstanding fragrance, Habit - diagram 2.  Robert, 1856.  Provenance: Hortico.
Smallish white flowers crammed with petals and a button eye.  Botzaris seems less pure a Damask than many in this list and, like 'Mme. Hardy', it may have other parentage, perhaps among the Gallicas.

Bouquet de Venus Gallica. No rebloom. Outstanding fragrance. Stout caned, moderately suckering, arching. Lerouge (Jager) , 18? (Demits and Worl; l'Hay). Large silky pompons of light pink, beautifully formed with large buttoned centers. A tall grower. This may be a shortening of the old name Bouquet Rose de Venus which was a miniature Agatha type, according to Dickerson's The Old Rose Adventurer.

p92. Brightside Cream". TN. Good reliable rebloom. Outstanding fragrance. Habit [diagram] 1. [Provenance: Knopf; Bermuda]. Fresh, bright flowers colored as though with lemon juice and cream, small, full of petals and fragrant. Might this be the real 'Park's Yellow Tea-Scented China'?

Britannia Pol. Good reliable rebloom. No fragrance. Habit 3. [e.g. Orleans Rose]. Burbage Nursery, 1929. [Provenance: San Jose Heritage Rose Garden]. A delightful rose which we first saw at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, single, 2-inch flowers of bright, clear red with a large white eye, the whole fades to rose pink with age. Very similar to others of this type like the Hybrid Musks 'Ballerina','Mozart' and 'Marjorie Fair'.
