'Moonlight', (Parentage 'Trier' X R. sulphurea). Breeder: Pemberton, 1913. Height: 1,80 m. Very recurrent. Semi-double, moderate fragrance, tolerates half-shade, medium hardy, tolerates poor soils. It offers a open and supple habit, clad in pretty glossy foliage, dark, ...large clusters of flowers in flat rosettes, semi-double, whose ivory tone harmonises with the very tender yellow of the pointed buds. 'Papillon' HT. Origin unknown. Breeder: Nabonnand, 1881. Height: 3 to 4 m. Recurrent. Semi-double, mild fragrance, sun, limited hardiness. ...The flowers are semi-double, coppery dawn-pink and vivid pink on the reverse, has wide petals, tubed and a little asymmetrical which gives it a fantastical appearance. They sit like butterflies on a climber full of vigour, generous and repeating, which blooms among the first...but also among the last.

'Paul's Scarlet Climber' hybrid wichurana. (descends from 'Paul's Carmine Pillar' x 'Rêve d'Or'). Breeder: Paul, 1916. Height: 4 to 5 m. Non-recurrent. Semi double, tolerates half shade, hardy, tolerates poor soil.
..The blooms, medium-size, semi-double, in wavy rosettes, are of a very vivid scarlet-red. They form large dense clusters under which the foliage completely disappears. The leaves are large, dark and matte. In bad consitions, the plants are sometimes subject to mildew. The flowering is late and long.

'Rambling Rector' HMult. Peut-être un hybride de R. multiflora et de R. moschata. Commercialisé avant 1912. Hauteur: de 6 m à 8 m. Non-remontante. ...Les roses, plûtot petites, n'ont que deux rangées de pétales aux contours un peu irréguliers. Elles se groupent en d'innombrables inflorescens, presque pyramidales, capables de cacher la feuillage sous une véritable avalanche neigeuse, qui répand un merveilleux parfum. Les feuilles sont vert clair et mates, avec des folioles allongées, duveteuses sur la face inférieure.

'Rose-Marie Viaud', (descends from a seedling of 'Veilchenblau'). Breeder: Igoult, 1924. Height: 4 to 5 m. Non-recurrent. Double, moderate fragrance, tolerates half-shade, hardy, medium humid soil, tolerates poor soils.
Lile 'Veilchenblau' from which it descends, the branches of this rose are thornless. It grows vigorously and is clad in an ample matte, light green foliage which is almost blonde when young. The flowers, united in small clusters, are very double, violet-purple, quite dull when faded. The blooming is mostly late. One can cultivate this rose in shade or in a mediocre soil.

'Seagull' HMult. Parents non connus. Obtenteur: Pritchard, 1907. Hauteur: 5 m. Non-remontante. Les boutons jaunâtres éclosent en fleurs d'un blanc crémeux, réunies en grandes corymbes vaguement pyramidaux, d'où s'échappent de fortes fragrances. ...Elle présente un abondant feuillage mat, vert clair et sa fructification orangée est également intéressante.

'Trier' without doubt ... 'Aglaia' x 'Rêve d'Or'. Breeder: Lambert, 1904. Height: 2 m. Recurrent. Semi-double, mild fragrance, tolerates half-shade, very hardy, tolerates poor soils. It is the origin of the modern musk roses. ..large lax trusses of small white blooms, flat, with golden-yellow stamens, surrounded by two rows of irregular petals, in heart form. The foliage, light and dark, is quite ample.

'Veilchenblau', Syn. 'Bleu Violet', 'Violet Blue', 'Blue Rambler', 'Blue Rosalie'. Hybrid multiflora. (Descends from 'Crimson Rambler' x 'Souvenir de Brod'). Breeder: Schmidt, 1909. Height: 4 to 5m. Non-recurrent. Semi-double, mild fragrance, tolerates half-shade, hardy, tolerates poor soil.

..Its flowers, mildly fragrant, double, with somewhat irregular petals and a white brightened center, are of a stunning blue-violet which lightens when fading. They are joined in numerous clusters which remain in bloom a long time towards the end of spring. ...The stems are vigorous and so-to-say without thorns. It is clad in a superb light green, glossy and healthy foliage.

'Violetta', hybrid multiflora. Origin, breeder and year unknown. Height: 4 to 5m. Non-recurrent. Double, tolerates half-shade, hardy, tolerates poor soil.
This variety offers small double flowers, violet with slaty reflexes on the reverse. They come together in corymbes... medium vigour, practically without prickles, and with along flowering period.
NB. Despite the similarity of names, this rose is different than the preceding (Violette).

'Violette', hybrid multiflora. (Bred from 'Veilchenblau'). Breeder: Turbat, 1921. Height: 4 to 5m. Non-recurrent. Double, moderate fragrance, tolerates half-shade, hardy, tolerates poor soil.
The double flowers, in rosettes, are of a dark violet-purple which contrasts with the golden stamens. The effect is charming, even if the colour ends up dull. The foliage is large, elongated, dark green and has a satiny texture. Young foliage has an almost blonde tone. The plant is healthy and grows well, even in half-shade, although sometimes it is susceptible to mildew. Water sufficiently during periods of full vegetation.
