2024. Mini Eden bloom, partially opened.
Uploaded 2 days ago |
First rose and bulletproof - grafted (probably) Julia Child from my local nursery. This thing sits by my downspout in my front yard, full sun, and all the rainwater it can drink up. It generally has zero Blackspot, glossy leaves, and has flushes that repeat almost nonstop all year long. It's my very last rose to bloom as well, it keeps blooming until the blooms actually freeze on the bush in December. Amazing scent, buttery many-petaled blooms, impeccable health - what's not to love?

2024. A cluster of Mini Eden blooms. These blooms are small, much smaller than Eden, but the plant itself is HUGE and grows THICK strong canes with just tons of blooms all summer long. This one came from Linda of LongAgoRoses. Definitely a keeper. No scent, but otherwise perfect.

2024. Honeymoon, Kordes, partially opened bloom, first year. It didn't grow much or bloom much this year. Spring 2025 it is double the size and loaded with buds.

2024. Moonlight in Paris, this bloom is 4 days old on the bush. A fantastic rose, it got planted as a sickly bareroot in mostly-shade. It overcame blackspot and downy mildew and still bloomed beautifully in the shade. I moved it to a pot and full sun in spring 2025 because it just deserves it after all that.

2024, La Reine, tiny own root plant, pale green leaves, LOADED with buds and blooms in spring, blackspots and loses nearly all leaves after that. It does not like clay. But the blooms...oh, the blooms. I sent it on to Mindy from Hummingbird Roses to try her sandy soil, because it deserves so much better.
