Bred by Gareth Fryer (1948-....) (United Kingdom, before 1980).
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Yellow blend, pink edges.  Mild fragrance.  Average diameter 4.5".  Large, double (17-25 petals), exhibition bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 30" to 5' (75 to 150cm).  Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Fryer's Roses says The Lady is one of their most popular Hybrid Teas. The colour of the classically shaped and highly scented blossoms is a soft, delicate honey, edged with a hint of salmon.
