'Anemone' rose Description

Bloom:
Light pink. Strong fragrance. up to 5 petals. Average diameter 8". Single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.
Habit:
Climbing. Height of up to 13' 1" (up to 400 cm). Width of up to 9' 10" (up to 300 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
Notes:
For clarification about parentage, see References. The seed from which Anemone was first grown originated in China, collected by the physician-botanist-Sinologist, Emil Bretschneider. The seed was sent to Europe and germinated there around 1884. Nigel Pratt at Tasman Bay Roses says this rose has large, single flowers of silvery pink with a touch of mauve.
