I'll post a picture of my own, but there are so many good ones already. I love this rose - the flower form, the scent, the disease resistance, the compact form, the repeat bloom. Tamora does wash out and fade when the nights are warm - I agree with the person from Illinois that, at least in the high heat of summer, the beautiful, subtle apricot color is elusive and ephemeral. Flowers are beautifully formed but washed out in color - but they still smell good!!! When nights are cool however, the nuances of color come out and she is breathtaking (spring and fall). The compact form of the shrub is wonderful. I have one that is 3 years old and 3' x 3'. I will also add that my Tamora is watered only by drip irrigation and she withstands the intense heat of summer very well - I never have to worry about her or give her supplemental water. I never have had a hint of blackspot on my Tamora. She gets a healthy infestation of aphids in the spring that mar the first blooms, and then they disappear and the rest of the year she blooms, and blooms, and blooms, and blooms...

Tamora didn't do quite what I wanted it to. I agree that it's a bloom factory. But in full Illinois sun, the apricot color you see in the photos was vanishingly brief. In the summer, I had to go out in the morning if I wanted to catch that color. By afternoon it was more of a pale, washed-out pink.

I did find it hardy, and reasonably disease resistant in humid 5b. It was prone to BS in a very wet summer, but not in a normal summer. It stayed quite small. Third year, it was still 2' by 2'.

Next year I'm going to replace it with Teasing Georgia. I've decided that I need to aim at apricot-yellow rather than apricot-pink, since the yellow part of the pigment seems to fade so rapidly.

I was really impressed with the performance of Tamora. This is the first year I had it. 3 plants were planted in a clump and what a sight. It is disease resistant and stays compact unlike most other Austins.

There were 2 flushes of blooms already this year. One in June, second in early July and another one coming in the next week. Repeat cycle is around every 3 -4 weeks, much better than most of my hybrid teas. Every new break from the base bears terminal buds. Due to the long blooming flower clusters, the time the current flush is finished new buds are already showing colour.

I highly recommend this rose.

Tamora is a beautiful english rose. Compact tidy growth, rare in the Austins. A powerful fragrance, Wonderful if you like myrrh, which i do. Beautifully formed numerous blooms. Disease resistance is very good, great for an Austin. Only occasional minor b.s. on mine during most humid weather...and thats without spraying. Fast repeat and always in bloom, it is quite prolific. I grow mine in a large container and it does amazingly well. One Austin I wouldn't be without.
