Introduced in United Kingdom by Fryer's Roses/Fryer's Nurseries Ltd. in 2000 as 'Cheshire'.

Class:

Bloom:

Copper, deep yellow shading. Strong fragrance. 25 petals. Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Bushy. Dark green foliage.

Height: 33" to 37" (85 to 95cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Notes:

Fryers Roses describes this rose as follows: A new Hybrid Tea for the county of Cheshire in shades of bronze and harvest gold (the colour of the cheshire wheatsheaf). The flowers are large, well-formed and carried in abundance, each one with a delightful perfume on a neat bushy plant. Foliage is dark green with excellent disease resistance.

Tim Clapp of Mattocks Roses says he has "a couple of roses that are simply colour in a can. Easy to grow and ideal for brightening up any border Roses 'Lancashire' and 'Cheshire' make wonderful displays on their own. Easy to grow, they are ideal for beginners and are probably some of the most disease resistant varieties on the market."
