You can find Belle Story (own root rose) through heirloomroses.com. It's an Oregon company that raises virus-free roses.

How does 'Belle Story' compare to 'scepter'd Isle' another David austin rose?? My goal is to plant a full display of pink roses in a 3-ft hedge along a white picket pence for a 'cottage look'. I like to see the yellow stamens showing inside the cupped style blooms. Thanks, --K Haas of Silicon Valley, CA

Well, this answer is a bit late but here it is. I thought it would be in part that Scepter'd Isle has more petals but the Heirloom Roses paper catalogue (it contains far more information than the website) says that it has 20+ petals and that Belle Story has 40. I would have thought it was the other way around! In any case, I don't have Scepter'd Isle but the thing I love about Belle Story is the yellow center in addition to the stamens. I think the Scepter'd Isle is mostly or exclusively pink. The Heirloom Roses catalogue lists both as reaching 5 feet.

I have been looking for my wishlist or wanted - "Belle Story". I am from Soutwest Florida. Do you know where I can buy the name? I would grow them at my home in Florida. Thank you for your help, Jane
