'Golden Fairy Tale' is a fantastic shrub rose. It is floriferous, vigorous and healthy. The yellow blossoms are very full, clear, bright yellow and so cheerful. Some bloom clusters definitely show some carmine red spotting/striping along the edges. This only seems to add to the plant's attractiveness.

BTW, the bloom is about 4 1/2 inches, not the 2 1/2 inches in the HMF description.

Buy this rose! Ironclad, no disease, winter-hardy, putting out huge candelabras of blooms. As the bud opens, it looks like the finest exhibition hybrid tea, then becomes quartered when open. Can't go wrong here.

The pollen parent of Sterntaler is Rugelda, according to the patent information.

Hi, RosariumRob,
Thanks for this excellent information. Is the seed parent described in the patent? I'd like to be able to list Seedling or Unknown or Undisclosed, whatever is correct.
