George C. Thomas lists Roseraie de l'Hay as a sport of R. rugosa rosea.

This may explain why Graham Stuart Thomas specifically disputed this parentage. Reference added.

Hi, I live in akron, ohio. If I order the ROSERAIE de l'HAY now, is it too
late to plant for this season? Or do I have enough time to plant it before
it frosts? Any help would be appreciated.

If you can dig in the soil you can plant the rose. Just make sure you mound up the soil all around the base to keep it from getting any cold damage.

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (about zone 3). How tall can I expect my Roserie
de l'hay to grow? I noticed that on this site it stated that it can grow to 12 ft. tall. Is that usual?

Rosaraie de l'Hay does put up thick, upright basal canes to about 7 feet in many areas but will go higher in warm conditions. In your zone I would expect this rose to grow to about 5 feet tall.
