Hello, on the information sheet, I can read the following: "Creator: Alain Meilland, Meilland International, Le Luc en Provence, France.
“Meijocos” is the result of hybridisation work carried out by the creator in Le Luc en Provence, France, in June 1997, between the female parent ‘Korimro’ and the male parent, an unnamed proprietary seedling. So, if I understand correctly, its year of creation is June 1997, which is more precise than ‘France, before 2008’? Best regards, Huyustus

Breeding year corrected, thank you! Regarding breeder, all current Meilland patents state Alain Meilland as breeder, as all Kordes patents state Wilhelm Alexander Kordes, although the latter is known not to be a breeder. This is all due these companies' policies on breeder rights. Whenever actually known publicly, we try to honour the actual breeders, such as Jacques Mouchotte (Meilland), Thomas Proll (Kordes), or Jens Krüger (of Tantau).

I think it fair to remember the name of Signora (Mrs) Piero Puricelli, her name was Antonietta Tosi.

A bit late, but the dedication to Antonietta Tosi Puricelli added. Still missing birth and death dates.

Although the references invariably give 'Julien Potin' x 'Sensation' as the parentage, the 1936 US patent gives a more subtle pedigree.

"Parentage:- Both parents were unnamed seedlings with seed ancestor Julien Potin and pollen ancestor Sensation."

I read that as ('Julien Potin' x 'Sensation') x ('Julien Potin' x 'Sensation').

The usual parentages given for the other four Aicardi roses with US patents (Eternal Youth, Rome Glory, Saturnia and Principessa delle Rose) are the same as given in their patents, so I see no reason to doubt the patent parentage for 'Signora'.
