The following varieties are all varieties I have raised from seed. I have tested them all for a good many years and I believe they are all worthy of a trial in your gardens. I do not have very large stocks of them and there are not very many plants of each to be sent out this year.
Westerner — Jap. and one of the finest. It will grow 3 feet or more high. The flower is very large light pink with a very stiff cushion of staminoids that are bright yellow. It has never feathered for me. It is lighter pink than Tomate-Boku, almost as large and 2½ times taller. Plant and root are clean and it is a good grower. Midseason. Per Division — $10.00 Net

Shawnee Chief — Midseason cut flower, red. This has been one of the best cut flower varieties I have ever grown. It will open well from the field or cold storage. The stems are about 30 inches tall and each established plant will furnish 12 to 20 stems to cut. In the bud Shawnee Chief looks like a rose. It has never waterlogged for me. Per Division — $4.00
