J & P is presently offering this yellow floribunda @ $US20. It looks stunning in the photos. Would any here have bought it last year when I believe it was introduced? What is your opinion so far? Can I believe hardiness to zone 5?

Bought it this spring (2025). So far, it seems that it likes to shoot out very long canes and seldom flowers; may have to play with parameters (hours of sunshine in particular); not ready to discard it, but it is not an instant favorite.

mine smells strongly of earl grey tea with a fruity undertone. really nice smelling rose.
*edit: meant to post that below. i'll report back at the end of the season if it sets hips. many DAs are not sterile. i have hips right now on james galway, lady of shalott, winchester cathedral, st swithun, graham thomas...

The flowers are too packed for my preference, but that’s excusable, as the scent is bordering on unpleasant for me, with green undertones dominated by an old hard candy smell (it’s specific but the ones with flower motifs that are left for ages somewhere looking beautiful but tasting stale), despite liking anise it is hard to recognize it.

The photos don't really look "deep" yellow at all. Seeing how these comments here also make mention of the shade bein pale, would that be something worth correcting in the description?

I think our perception of “deep yellow” in a rose shifted with the advent of Pernetianas (around 1910).
