The photos don't really look "deep" yellow at all. Seeing how these comments here also make mention of the shade bein pale, would that be something worth correcting in the description?

I think our perception of “deep yellow” in a rose shifted with the advent of Pernetianas (around 1910).

I don't know why this rose isn't planted more widely - it is a very beautiful rose, it looks similar to a hybrid tea in shape, it is very vigorous and extremely healthy. The cut flowers are a lovely yellow.

The descriptions are based on early references. It is possible that 'Amazone' in commerce is not the original rose.

There appears to be another florist rose by NIPR called Alter Ego (designation listed as Manchandy) from around 2019. The individual petals are the opposite of this one - inner side of the petals are lighter pink with orange shading while the outer side of the petal is darker (same affect as About Face). The bloom as a whole of the has lighter petals on the inside and darker petals on the outside when almost open.
