Japanese Peonies
Gold Star (Kelsey 1942). Japanese type. Midseason. Pale pink guard petals with yellow staminodes. Very much yellow in its makeup. Has a tendency to feather on young plants but seems to overcome it when established. Does not fade in the sun.

Japanese Peonies
Harvest Moon (Kelsey, 1936) Each $3.00
A midseason Japanese variety that is somewhat similar to Shaylor's Sunburst. Cupped white guards and yellow staminodes. This is a very choice variety and blooms at the same time as Isani Gigui, which it closely resembles, with the exception that the cluster of staminodes of Harvest Moon are more compact. A great favorite, and rightly so.
