Class:

Bloom:
Red.  Double (17-25 petals) bloom form.
Parentage:
If you know the parentage of this rose, or other details, please contact us.
Notes:
"J. Datson" (provenance Rookwood, NSW)
"Frank Veal", (provenance Rookwood, NSW)
”Grandma Frederick’s Red China” (provenance Nancy Rudgely, NSW)
“Mrs. Goode’s Red China” (provenance Mrs. Goode, S.A.)

These four foundlings are very similar and may be the same.

“J. Datson” is possibly a version of 'Cramoisi Superieur'. Reverted to CS colour at Jane Zammit's nursery, as against the hot pink colour shown on the large plant at Rookwood.
Jane wrote (privately) August 19, 2005:
Rumsey's listed their 'red china' as Lady Brisbane, aka Cramoisi Superieur, aka Agrippina.
I have several of them planted, plus "J Datson Rookwood" who is different to all the other "Lady B's" at Rookwood, which BM says are also different to the Rumsey Lady B's.
