Origin:
Bred by Benjamin R. Cant (1827-1900) (United Kingdom, 1901).
Introduced in Australia by Arthur Yates & Co. Ltd. in 1902 as 'Mrs. B.R. Cant'.
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter shading, silver(y) center, tan undertones.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, climbing.  Blue-green foliage.  

Height: 6' to 9' (185 to 275cm).  Width: 4' to 12' (120 to 365cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape, shrub or specimen.  Very vigorous.  benefits from winter protection in colder climates.  drought resistant.  heat tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  Resist the urge to prune this rose too heavily -- it doesn't like it!.
