Bred by Alexandre Bernaix (France, 1889).
Introduced in Australia by Anderson and Co. in 1897 as 'Madame Philippe Kuntz'.
Class:
Tea.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, ages to light pink .  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Parentage doubtful, as 'Mme Philippe Kuntz' and 'Georges Farber' are both said to be bred in 1890.
