'Fellowship' rose Reviews & Comments

Most cultivars demonstrated the same resistance or susceptibility in both leaf and flower buds to the three strains of mildew. However, in one cultivar, ‘Fellowship’ also known as ‘Livin’ Easy’ it was observed that leaf buds were highly susceptible while flower buds were very rarely infested.

Is this a quote from some reference? Susceptible to what?

It's not an uncommon trait.
Scarlet Moss and Canyon Road both do this, when heat stressed. Mildew will appear on the buds, and will disappear in the next flush if the weather changes enough.

I shovel pruned our Livin Easy as it got to much blackspot here in our Central Pa no spray garden... Otherwise I liked it...

Ought to withstand zone 5b winters, but it didn't survive last winter. Temps to minus 20 and almost no snow and a lotta sun. Other roses, that ought to die under such circumstances, froze back, but came back fresh and healthy.

Can you tell us more about your Easy Livin' Rose. Ideally, we would like to confirm it is not a different rose with a similar name and to flush out the details. In this case, all we know about this rose is that it's a parent of Easy Vibes. Thanks, we look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know about easy vibes, this rose is easy livin with no g and you can find it do an online search, I had one, I have a lot of photos, such as here http://www.flickr.com/photos/tropicalthought/5951604195/ there could be one called easy living with g that has to do with easy vibes, I don't know. I got it at lowes, there is lots of information on the garden web about easy livin, if you search there are whole threads about it. It is not a hybrid it is a floribund rose and it's huge. I have more photos of that also, on my flickr, but so do other people if you do a general search on flickr for easy livin, there are like 100 plus photos.
