I was not very impressed with this rose. I would call it awkward. It does smell good, and the white is very nice. Just a weird plant.
Royal Philharmonic is just really hard to beat out here, if you can get one.
Whisper is also an EXCELLENT performer here, but it disappeared from commercial sales just as soon as it appeared. Sad. An easy white to grow, even if on the pearl side of white. I think the growers just did not want to pay the royalties they can make similar, even if inferior, roses to replace the other-grower patented rose with.
White Lightnin' still performs super well here, if you can forgive the bottom 1/3rd defoliating every summer.

Second year having 2 Sugar moons; Great disease resistance to black spot and mildew here in PNW zone 7b which typically is BS heaven. I LOVE these roses! Dark green matte foliage and highly scented blooms. The scent is strong and wonderful. They don't last long in the vase though, I leave them on the plant.
Nice clean white too.
Look for them grafted on Multiflora stock- Palatine has them.

I don't see much blooms til almost end of the season. My grafted version from Edmunds not so much vigorous. I'll try again own root version next year.

SO intrigued by how Baby Love is in this one's parentage............THIS one is going to be one of my favorites......allowed thrips to destroy the blooms this first bloom but the scent is beyond amazing, makes my mouth water, in my opinion very close to the nectarine smell of Sutter's Gold. Petals are waxy,great substance... bloom reminds me of Memorial Day which thrips also adore...........plant, so far (mine is 1st year from Edmunds) grows bolt-upright and all the blooms have been single stem.........has been a terrible year for mildew and blackspot but this one has been untouched.............really hope it lives up to the promise it is showing so far...............
August update: laughing how BABY LOVE is in the lineage! This one is now 6 feet tall, bolt upright, healthy as can be, 24 inch stems.........blooms are small but this is likely due to bizarre heat and that it grows in a pot.....loving this one............
