Origin:
Bred by Francis Meilland (1912-1958) (France, before 1941).
Introduced in France by Meilland et Cie in 1941 as 'L'Arlésienne'.
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in circa 1943 as 'Fred Edmunds'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1949 as 'Fred Edmunds'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange, vermilion edges.  Strong, spice fragrance.  20 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 5.25".  Very large, very double, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, leathery foliage.  

Height: 30" to 3' (75 to 90cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
