Origin:
Bred by Samuel McGredy II (United Kingdom, 1926).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1928 as 'Mabel Lynas'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Crimson - scarlet, brown shading, yellow undertones.  Strong fragrance.  Double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Glossy, light green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.
