Origin:
Bred by André Delbard-Chabert (1915-2012) (France, 1965).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Cuthbert in 1967 as 'Cappa Magna'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Red.  8 to 10 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Single to semi-double, cluster-flowered, in large clusters, cupped, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders or garden.  Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. .  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..
