I love this rose! The fragrance is amazing, it is for me very healthy and when you take its age into context, there is some vigor and some substance to the plant and petals! In my opinion it has a lot of TEA in the genes because I grow mine in pots and this winter in Columbus, 6a, has been to date insanely mild. My roses "sleep" in the insulated but not heated garage and the temps are not low enough in my opinion and absolutely not in this one's opinion! It is pushing new growth so much I brought it into my greenhouse room as of 1/15/12.............the actual teas I wake up this early after 6 weeks of dozing off are not so advanced...........very curious to see what happens............I woke up, of all roses, FUTURA in early February last year and he knocked my socks off with 3 huge blooms by the middle of March and a plant that went from 2nd year band to full size bush last summer................we first grew this when I was a child, got plants from Interstate Nurseries in Iowa when they still had a rose selection.........that was in Chico, California and I know I would have to grab a cane and bend it down to see the bloom...........it is a big and rangey rose............
