Bloom:
Apricot, light pink outer petals. Moderate fragrance. Double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Edavalath Kakkat Janaki Ammal (November 4, 1897 Tellichery, Madras - February 7, 1984 Maduravoyal, Chennai), Indian botanist, Professor of Botany. She researched cytogenetics and phytogeography. She co-authored, along with C D Darlington, ‘The Chromosome Atlas of All Living Plants’, first edition, 1945. Though from India she was the first woman in the USA to earn a PhD in Botany in 1926 from the University of Michigan. She won a Barbour Scholarship , and in 1931 the same University gave her an honorary doctorate ( D.Sc honoris causa). She worked at the John Innes Institute, UK, at Kew, and at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Wisley garden, apart from the Botanical Survey of India.
