Bred by De Ruiter Innovations BV (Netherlands, 1961).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Gandy's Roses Ltd. as 'Ruth Leuwerik'.
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1962 as 'Ruth Leuwerick'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Red.   (Rouge vif).  Moderate fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Bronze-green foliage.  
Height of 2' to 32" (60 to 80 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  Vigorous.  
Notes:
www.wwelt-der-rosen.de says 'Ruth Leuwerick' was bred by Thomas Beaufays (b. 1906).
