....Angel Face is, as you say, very popular in the USA.  It is also listed by a lot of nurseries in Australia and one in India.  I surmise that it may be one of those varieties which does better in a warmer climate than our own, otherwise it would surely have been taken up by a grower here.

Angel Face Cluster-flowered/Floribunda. Swim 1968. Description... deep mauve-lavender flowers that darken with ruby flushes towards the edges... ruffled petals...

Angel Face Description... mauve/lavender... It has been one of the widely grown Floribundas in the United States for over 20 years, but strangely enough it did not infiltrate Europe... It is a colour that has not been repeated successfully in the Floribundas...

Angel Face it has a lot of attributes that make it fit well with old roses. Rich mauve with a lavender-lilac tone, the petals have a lightly frilled edge that is slightly darker in colour... spicy fragrance...

Of the mauve floribundas, 'Angel Face' is distinct because of its lightly ruffled petals, its good deep mauve colour and its sturdy compact bush, but, I think the taller growing Ripples' from Mr. Le Grice an equally good rose.
