Origin:
Bred by Vladyslaw Noll (Poland, before 1975).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Fisk's Clematis Nursery in circa 1975 as 'Niobe'.
Class:
Early Large Flowered.  
Bloom:
Red, yellow anthers.  6 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 6".  Single bloom form.  Late spring to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Partial sun.  Suitable for growing in a container.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
