One of the few roses that smell like cinnamon to me.
Very healthy in the PNW. Prickly as a cactus though.

Great color, moss and sets hips. Defoliates in my garden.

Black spot prone but shrugs it off and puts out new leaves. I'm still going to use it with healthy varieties for moss. Paul Barden's 'Unconditional Love', an F1 of Scarlet Moss, is healthier in my garden than SM is. I'm using that one as well.

I received a plant from Burling this spring. Does your plant dieback? Its in a pot.

No die back here
Correction: The plant completely died back this winter. Was in a pot and had standing water from melting snow accumulate and then extreme freeze.
