Goulding Memorial Rose Lecture

The Canadian Rose Society's 5th Goulding Memorial Rose Lecture will feature Clair Martin, of The Huntington in California, as guest speaker. Mr. Martin's topic is What's in a Name? English and Shrub Roses for the 21st Century. Clair Martin is one of the world's pre-eminent authorities on roses. He has been in charge of the roses at the famous Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California since 1982, and is presently "Curator of the Rose Garden". In addition, he is an internationally renowned lecturer, author, and has participated in numerous television productions, including the BBC's Quest for the Rose and PBS's Great Gardens of the World. The lecture will be held at 2:00 pm in the Civic Garden Centre, Lawrence Avenue East and Leslie, Toronto, Ontario. The lecture is free to all CRS Members.
