Cyndy Allison's gardens grace all sides of the family's thirty-year-old traditional Southern home. Innovative use of stone and brick provide beauty (a spectacular archway), privacy (the perimeter wall), access (meandering trails), and the architectural foundation for the sumptuous plantings beneath the native red- and white-oak canopy. Stacked stone retaining walls define the curved confines of beds that feature plants and trees from around the world—the source of color year round. And finally, her water features dazzle—the formal Italian fountain, the waterfalls cascading into multiple ponds, and the stream that threads through patios and secluded alcoves.

We offer informative and entertaining programs on Sundays at 1 pm, repeated Mondays at 11 am from mid-April through mid-Oct. Except for the Rose Propagation Workshops and Stephen Scanniello’s talk, programs are free and no reservations are needed.

Programs last for about 1-1/2 hours and are conducted in our unheated barn or garden. We never cancel due to weather and have conducted rose pruning demonstrations in the snow. Please dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if it’s raining, snowing or hot and sunny.
