This event features over 300 varieties of roses from species to the latest miniatures.  About 20% of the roses are not in commerce or are being introduced for the first time.  Nearly 50 different polyanthas are on the list  as well as dozens of ramblers and climbers usually not to be found.  Classic Hybrid Teas and Old Garden Roses are also in good supply.

In addition to the auction of roses, the naming rights to a seedling of 'Sequoia Ruby' will be offered up for bidding.  The winning bid gets to name the rose, plus, 3 additional plants as well as a guarantee that the  rose will be in commerce for at least one year.  The name must be suitable for registration with the ARS, in that it may not be vulgar, more than three words, nor a repeat of a recently released rose.   The bidding for the naming rights starts at "$250.00.
