VCRS OGR Pruning Demo and Rose Auction

8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A Demonstration on how to prune Old Garden Roses suitable for the Southern California Mediterranean climate will feature Jeri n Clay Jennings, founders of Gold Coast Heritage Rose Society, Jim Delahanty, President of the Ventura County Rose Society and Ingrid Wapelhorst, 2008 Bronze Medal winner of the VCRS. The demo will take place at the Stagecoach Inn Rose Garden, where all roses were introduced before 1910.
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 9th VCRS Rose Auction featuring 100 auction roses, many of which are rare or no longer in commerce as well as 'found' roses seeking a commercial nexus. There are also roses in a fixed sale section, a silent auction and free hospitality. The auctioneer is Robert Marin, Jr. a Life Member of the VCRS. The list of offerings can be accessed at
