Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm J.H. Kordes II (1891-1976) (Germany, circa 1960).
Class:
Climber, Large-Flowered Climber, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, silver(y) reverse, ages to lighter .  Mild to strong, apple fragrance.  100 to 142 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing.  Large, glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 6'7" to 12' (200 to 365cm).  Width: 6' to 10' (185 to 305cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape or pillar.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
