Patent info incorrect--the plant with PP2998 has White Masterpiece as a grandparent: "Seed parent.-An unnamed pink-flowered seedling of Revelery X White Masterpiece." See google patents.

White Masterpiece cannot have itself as grandparent. See comment of 10 July 2005, which says seedling of Revelry X Pink Masterpece as seed parent. Do you have a link to the full patent text?

seed parent Revelry X Pink Masterpiece is correct. The second mention of Revelry X White Masterpiece in the patent is definitely a clumsy error.

I wish this rose was a bit more user friendly.  As it is, it is an ideal shrub.  The new leaves are a rich burgundy, maturing into thick, disease resistant greenery.  The flowers are of remarkable substance; tough and full.  They spiral open to very double form, early tinged with green, but maturing to a vibrant white.  They are generally of a grouped arrangement, rarely single.  This is disappointing, as single flowers would be highly desireable.  But one candelabra of flowers can make its own bouquet, if you watch for it.  So the form does have its uses indoors.  Outdoors, the flower arrangement and foliage coloring and substance makes for a great landscape shrub, where a white accent is needed.  I have it in a hot, sunny area between two cement driveways and it remains a constant performer.  It is very long-lived.  -- San Jose, CA

According to US plant patent 2998 the seed parent parent of White Masterpiece was an unnamed pink seedling from (Revelry x Pink Masterpiece) crossed with another unnamed pink flowered seedling noted in Eugene Boerner's records as #60-2351.

It's interesting to note that the color was described as seafoam yellow
