Berries 'N' Cream is still my favorite climber. I live in MA Zone 6 & winter 2014-2015 did a lot of damage, it wasn't the record snow level in Boston area, but subzero temperatures in January 2015 before the snow started. I had them trained on arbors & had to cut some back to ankle level, I had most of them since 2005 & one from 2003.

This past winter 2015-2016 was as hard as them & it's been cold & raining for over a week. I haven't finished pruning & lost 10 year old Cl. Iceberg. I had to chop off more than I'd like again from Berries 'N' Cream. They recovered last year but not enough to train on arbor.

I have tried Fourth of July twice but neither plant has ever taken off. Candy Land is another climber that's beautiful but doesn't bloom as often as Berries 'N' Crram.

I live in Massachusetts, Zone 6. My Berries N Cream are huge. They are at least ten feet tall. I love this rose too. I bought Candy Land two years ago and that rose never took off like Berries N Cream. It's always in bloom. It's hard to keep up with the deadheading because there are so many flowers. I do not winter protect. I add extra mulch to all the bud unions.

I have Berries 'n' Cream in two areas. One is in my backyard with Climbing Iceberg. I planted Berries 'n' Cream in 2005. I just realized in June that the beautiful fragrance I have sitting on my porch is from both Climbing Iceberg & Berries 'n' Cream. There are two planted in another area & when it's warm & sun is out they are more fragrant than Climbing Iceberg.

I planted Berries 'n' Cream 3 years ago and every winter it dies back.  It does not bloom very much and does not grow very tall or spread.  I live in zone 5a in northern Mo  is there anything I can do to improve this rose?

Calypso(AKA Berries 'n' Cream)
Known in American as Berries 'n' Cream this will be the third year for growing mine in Iowa. Given a hard scrabble location (near a hot brick house in a tight spot) this climber has lived up to the patent's description as a "courtyard container climber". It has never reached above six feet and has little spread. It is notable for it's raspberry and white coloring. Grown it for the sweet coloring.
