Sequoia Nursery facing south through public entrance, March, 2010. Even without irrigation, many things continue to respond to spring weather and the rains. As Mr. Moore said to me many years ago, "If YOU don't plant something, GOD will!"

Ancient moss hybrid created so long ago, the names of the parents have been long forgotten. A year after closing, no water other than rains, the plant refuses to give up the ghost!

Enormous old Cl Mlle Cecile Brunner eating decaying greenhouse, March, 2010. Hopefully illustrative of what sizes these climbing polyanthas are capable of achieving if allowed. Even without care and water, she keeps on pumping out the canes inspite of no one being around. If you can't grow this rose, you're trying not to!

Sequioa Nursery March, 2010 after closure and removal of plants and many materials. The nursery stand silent, abandoned. Looking east toward the mountains, across the old mini table sale area toward the office. Notice the enormous old Cl. Mlle. Cecile Brunner devouring the remains of the green house. Even with summer heat and no irrigation, the established roses refuse to give up. Is there any wonder how and why they are found in ghost towns?
