More information on rootstocks, this time for Green E. They use both Dr. Huey and multiflora.

I asked if they had any way of telling which roses were on which rootstock, and if they could supply on a requested stock. She said they could do this and would be happy to, subject to availability of what they currently had potted.

This implies that if you wanted a particular rose on a particular stock and they did not currently have that combination, they may be willing to bud one up for you if you were prepared to wait for it. I didn't ask this specifically, but it seems to follow from what else was said. Would be worth asking, if you were interested.

Thank you very much Give me caffeine. From what you, and Eric Timewell have commented, this sounds an excellent nursery.
Perhaps a Sydney-based volunteer might consider liaising with them to help update their current rose listing on HelpMeFind,

Green E Plants has a very long list of collectors' roses not named here. They are all in pots and not for posting. They regard the dormant season in Sydney as too short for viable bare-rooted rose sales.
Among Riethmuller roses they have 'Carabella', 'Chip's Apple Blossom', 'Esmeralda', 'Gay Vista', 'Honeyflow', 'Kwinana' and 'Spring Song'.

It would be good if they updated their listing on HelpMefind.
In the meantime, the Riethmuller roses are added.
Thank you Eric

Thanks, Patricia. I'll remind them that Help Me Find is there for them. More and more I realise that Sydney is so big and complex that it can afford to be a world of its own, unlike other parts of Australia. The roses are all sitting there in pots, beautifully presented.
