Gallica / Provins.  Pink, lighter outer petals, violet shading, ages to darker .  Mild fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, globular, quartered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  USDA zone 4b through 8b.  Height of 47" (120 cm).   Lecomte (1827).

Gallica / Provins.  Violet - purple, white undertones, brown shading.  Small, very double, in small clusters, button-eye, flat, rosette bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  USDA zone 4b through 8b.  Height of 47" to 4' 11" (120 to 150 cm).   Lecomte (1828).
