CHARLES QUINT. Robert, 1856. Habit: upright and vigorous shrub (1 to 1,20 m high), quite broad, prickles and bristles. Foliage: not abundant; dark green; elliptical leaflets. Bloom: double, globular; eye in the centre, some visible stamens. Colour: pinkish white, streaked lilac; pales very fast. Fragrance: Mild. ...Collections:author, Gap-Charance, L'Haÿ, Mottisfont, Sangerhausen....In their catalogue of 1862, Moreau et Robert describe it thus: "6 to 8 cent., double, white, banded with lilac-pink, globular, fine habit, vigorous".
