Bred by François Lacharme (France, 1865).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Alfred Colomb'.

Bloom:

Red, pink undertones. Strong fragrance. 45 petals. Average diameter 2.75". Large, very full (41+ petals), globular, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Few or no prickles/thorns.

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm). Width: 3' (90cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
