‘Alida Lovett’: Hybride Wichurana. Parents: ‘Souvenir du Président Carnot’ x Rosa wichuraiana. Obtenteurs: Van Fleet 1905, Lovett 1917. Un rosier très apprécié des amateurs. Les boutons sont longs et pointus;… grandes corolles mi-doubles… larges pétales ondulés d’abord disposés en coupes, puis en rosettes… rose chaud, intense, ils s’éclairent, à la base, d’une pointe de jaune… léger parfum sucré… feuillage assez grand, sombre et brillant… La floraison est unique mais généreuse.

Conrad O'Neal. Ohio. Hunting Better Climbers. Passing on to those plants considered as best adapted to this climate, in pink I consider 'Alida Lovett' a top-notch rose in every respect. The blooms have more petals than 'Mary Wallace' and the color is a rich pink than most.
