Don't detect any fragrance in this, suspect it's just me though as some (not many) people have detected a strong fragrance from my plant.

Fairly prostate low to ground growth. Almost every hip will produce viable seed, it's probably the best seed setter in my garden so far. The offspring often resemble the mother plant structure but many of the flowers are very double, globular shaped with weak necks, many with tissue paper thin petals and apparently over powering fragrance (that I don't detect at all).

Probably because of the huge amount of hips, this requires a lot of water.

The plant is often 50/50 on healthy leaves vs infected leaves, it generally out grows them and doesn't seem bothered by it, but it's still unsightly..


-edit 3 Nov 2018- just to add most (or all for me so far) of the offspring will be a very pale shade of pink. some will be reverse bicolour (white on top, light pink on the reverse), lots of spotty children like the parent has been for me, the low spreading growth is passed on very often....I don't find it an exciting breeder, just slight variations of the parent most of the time. It's children may be though.

-edit 1 Dec 2018- This will be it's last season with me, I have enough of it's children to explore with, some of them are slightly more interesting and have shown less spotting issues but overall not impressed.
