From "Journal des Roses" 1899, page 104: From a list of Noisette roses.
"OPHIRIE (Goubault 1841). - Bouton rose orangé, jaune orangé, orangé cuivré. Fleur pleine. - Coloris variable, rose orangé, orangé cuivré."
(Bud orangey pink, orangey yellow, coppery orange. Flower full - colour variable, orangey pink, coppery orange.)

Interesting that information about this rose being offered commercially in the US after 1884 hasn't surfaced and it isn't available in Europe. I wonder if it is masquerading as something else, or if it was one of the many not really decent plants offered which disappeared once something better came along?
