You joke, but I've seen weed grower forum members make an entire bedroom an entire grow tent. They pioneered much of every new idea for our modern understanding of artificial plant environments. Most of it applies to roses. Daylily breeders were the first to take notice and use it to their advantage.

Are you sure it was daylily breeders? I think many were growing "cash crops" and in most of the U.S. it is now legal.

The cash croppers, then hobbyists, paved the way for other breeders. So daylily breeders were the first to adopt what the green enthusiasts discovered creating indoor systems. Dang, this is getting hard not mentioning that which is legal and illegal internationally.
