Pat Toolan.  Perfumed Roses.
“Eden Valley/Springton Yolk-Yellow” This strong, but pliable, rambler with its most delightful citrus-perfumed, double, medium-sized yellow flowers and mid-green leaves brightens any situation.

Margaret Furness & Pat Toolan. Some Roses in SA through Californian Eyes. We were eager to see whether Phillip Robinson and Gregg Lowery (visiting before the 2006 Busselton Conference) would recognize any of our founding roses as ones that they knew.....The suggested names in this list are therefore not implied to be hard-and-fast, but just another jump-off point for further observation and research....The "Eden-Valley-Springton Yolk-Yellow Rambler" looks like 'Francois Fourcard' (Barbier, 1900).
Magazine  (2006)  Page(s) 58 Vol 28 No 2.

When I found 'Milkmaid' I was sorry that Hugh [Tiley] had not stayed on a further day as he was familiar with the huge plant, with a profusion of winter hips, that had grown in the former old rose garden at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. I had wondered for years if a local unknown - "Eden Valley/ Springton Yolk Yellow Rambler" was possibly 'Milkmaid' but now that I had seen the correctly labeled mature 'Milkmaid' at Ruston's with its profusion of hips I knew I had to look further for a possible name for our hipless unknown.

p3. Photo. Above on this page is the "Eden Valley-Springton Yolk-yellow rambler ROR" with flowers fading to cream.

p13. Margaret Furness. Roadside Ramblers. There is also a soft yellow, a Barossa foundling planted outside their property by some HRIA members a couple of decades ago. It is known as the "Eden Valley-Springton Yolk-yellow Rambler ROR" and is like Alister Clark's Hybrid Noisette 'Milkmaid' except that it doesn't set hips.
