Shot March 30, 2019. Early afternoon, overcast day. A good rose for bees, due to the stamens being easily accessible. Pretty good rose for humans too, come to think of it.

Shot March 30, 2019. Early afternoon, overcast day. Foliage in this shot looks slightly darker that the previous two shots, due to the camera facing away from the sun, with a little less light to the camera lens. Incidentally the flowers are not at all bothered by rain, as far as I can tell. I suppose utterly torrential rain might dampen their spirits a bit, but normal rain seems to have no effect. Update: Since making that comment there has been a bit of torrential rain and yes, it does make the flowers look a bit soggy and forlorn, but they bounce back well if they get a chance to dry out before they drop.

Shot March 30, 2019. Early afternoon, overcast day. I think I could do with a few more of these around the place. It's a very appealing rose, and appears to be pretty much bulletproof in a subtropical climate. Never gets sprayed. Will get a bit manky on the foliage occasionally, but always bounces back well.
