Book (1941) Page(s) 111. Mr. R. T. Hamilton, Heidelberg, Vic. McGredy's Pink is not a very interesting colour, and is a "head-hanger". Growth is good. A few exhibition blooms have been picked, but the petals are very thin, and it will probably " seal" in all but good weather. I am afraid it will have to go.
Book (1939) Page(s) 128. Mrs T. R. Willis, NZ. Rangitiki Roses. McGredy's Pink is good, with very large petals, but inclined to lose its colour.

Book (1937) p17. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1937. McGredy's Pink, HT. (McGredy, 1936), carries large blooms of 50 narrow petals, but has excellent shape. When old, the blooms fade to light, attractive pink.
p115. Allan A. Brundrett. A Victorian Review of the Season's Novelties. McGredy's Pink, H.T. (S. McGredy and Sons. Many Victorian Roselovers have been of the opinion that the newer varieties by this raiser have too little "body" and that they open too quickly. McGredy's Pink, however, has 50 to 60 large petals of good substance, and is definitely an excellent exhibition Rose and a good "laster." The colour is rather an unusual shade of pink, something like that occasionally found in Maman Cochet. The habit of growth is all that can be desired.
