Bred by Barbier Frères & Compagnie (France, 1900).
Introduced in Australia by Arthur Yates & Co. Ltd. in 1905 as 'François Foucard'.

Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Light yellow, tan shading, ages to cream .  Strong fragrance.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: 9'10" to 16'5" (300 to 500cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
