Origin:
Bred by Charles-Denis Souchet (France, before 1842).
Introduced in France by Victor Verdier et fils in 1843 as 'Madame Souchet'.
Class:
Bourbon.  
Bloom:
Light pink, red edges, white undertones.  Average diameter 3.75".  Large, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Thornless (or almost).  Medium, glossy, dark green foliage.  5 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.
